ABOUT connor cook

A Life of Service

I've spent the past ten years serving the Idaho Falls community as a firefighter and paramedic. Before coming to Idaho Falls, I worked as a paramedic in Charleston, South Carolina, responding to emergencies and helping people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Those experiences shaped how I see leadership, grounded in service, responsibility, and showing up when people need help.

Now, I'm stepping forward to serve District 33 in the Idaho Legislature  and bring a first responder’s perspective to the decisions that affect our communities.

  • 10 Years Firefighter-Paramedic

Connor has served the Idaho Falls community for a decade as a professional firefighter and paramedic, responding to emergencies and helping protect the people who call this area home. gaining first-hand experience working with people from every walk of life.

Working on the front lines has given Connor a direct view into the challenges facing families, neighborhoods, and public safety services in our growing community.

  • Third Generation Idahoan

As a third-generation Idahoan, Connor Cook is committed to protecting the values and opportunities that make Idaho such a special place to live.

  • Community Member

Connor is proud to call Idaho Falls home. When he’s not on shift, you can usually find him around town, out on the Greenbelt, or spending time with family and friends.

Why I'm Running for the Idaho Legislature

Idaho Falls and the State of Idaho have been very good to me. I’m grateful that this community gave a 23-year-old kid with a strong work ethic the opportunity to build a life here.

Over the past ten years serving as a firefighter and paramedic, I’ve worked with people from every walk of life: families doing well, families getting by, and families facing real challenges.

That experience has given me a clear view of the issues our communities face every day, from public safety, to education, to the infrastructure that supports a growing region.

I’m running to serve District 33 at a higher level and bring real-world experience to the decisions that affect our communities.

"I’m running to bring a first responder’s perspective to the Idaho Legislature and to serve the people of District 33 with practical, real-world experience."

PLATFORM

MY PRIORITIES

Connor Cook is running to bring real-world experience and practical leadership to the Idaho Legislature. These are the issues he believes are essential to keeping District 33 and Idaho strong.

PUBLIC SAFETY

Protecting our communities starts with supporting the men and women on the front lines

Public safety is the work he does every day. As a firefighter and paramedic, Connor understands how important it is for first responders and law enforcement to have the support and resources they need to protect our communities.

CONNOR SUPPORTS:

• Stable funding for Idaho State Police to address recruitment and retention challenges

• Fully funding programs like Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) that protect kids from online predators

• Supporting firefighters, law enforcement, and EMS professionals across Idaho

• Ensuring rural and growing communities have the public safety resources they need

Protecting our communities starts with supporting the people on the front lines.

EDUCATION & WORKFORCE

Preparing the next generation for Idaho’s future

Idaho cannot attract businesses or keep young families here if we fail to prepare students for skilled trades, healthcare careers, and technology jobs. Education is the foundation of a strong economy and strong communities.

CONNOR SUPPORTS:

• Strengthening career and technical education and apprenticeship programs

• Supporting workforce development programs like Idaho LAUNCH

• Giving local school districts the flexibility to meet the needs of their communities

• Supporting teachers and the classrooms where Idaho’s future is shaped

When Idaho students succeed, Idaho communities succeed.

INFRASTRUCTURE & GROWTH

Planning for growth and investing responsibly

Eastern Idaho is growing rapidly, and our infrastructure must keep up. From roads and bridges to water systems and long-term planning, the Legislature must take responsible steps now so taxpayers are not forced to pay more later.

CONNOR SUPPORTS:

• Responsible investment in roads and bridge repair

• Long-term infrastructure planning for growing communities

• Reducing unnecessary red tape that slows critical projects

• Partnering with the private sector when appropriate to support responsible growth

Growth should be planned carefully so our communities remain strong and affordable for the people who live here.

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY

Protecting taxpayers and planning for Idaho’s future

Connor believes government should live within its means, prioritize essential services, and make thoughtful long-term decisions that keep Idaho strong and affordable.

CONNOR SUPPORTS:

• Responsible budgeting that protects Idaho taxpayers

• Prioritizing funding for essential services like public safety, infrastructure, and education

• Reducing unnecessary regulation that slows economic growth and burdens small businesses

• Long-term planning so Idaho’s growth remains sustainable for future generations

Idaho’s success has always been built on hard work, fiscal discipline, and responsible leadership.

MY STORY

Meet Connor Cook

Connor Cook is a third-generation Idahoan who has proudly called District 33 home for the past ten years. During that time, he has served the Idaho Falls community as a professional firefighter and paramedic.

Connor began his public safety career as a paramedic in Charleston, South Carolina.

He later returned to Idaho to continue serving the kind of community he grew up in — a place where people look out for each other and take pride in where they live.

In his work as a firefighter-paramedic, Connor has been on the front lines helping people on some of the most difficult days of their lives. Those experiences shaped his belief that leadership should always focus on people, responsibility, and doing the job the right way.

Connor is a homeowner on the numbered streets in Idaho Falls and stays active in the community. When he’s not on shift, you might find him golfing, playing defense in an adult recreation hockey league, or running along the Greenbelt with his girlfriend, Allie, an Idaho State Police Trooper, her son Cooper, and their headstrong Belgian Malinois, Fritz.
